All students living in the Rosa Parks Elementary community are eligible to attend. The current boundaries include the Redmond Ridge and Redmond Ridge East developments. View the Rosa Parks boundary map.

Currently all students are registered online. All information can be found at the LWSD website. You will need the following: a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, 2 forms of proof of residency.

According to school district guidelines, Rosa Parks is a “walking school." There are no school buses for students in the Redmond Ridge development. . School buses are provided for Orchestra (picks up from Dickinson Elementary and delivers to Rosa Parks). Take a look at this article about the walking trend. Make Way For The Walking Bus

Many students walk or ride bikes and scooters to our school every day. Staff and student safety patrols will be present to keep your children safe. We would encourage your child to walk with an adult and to stick with groups of friends from your neighborhood. Not only is it fun, it is also healthy. You certainly could. However, groups of parents in Parkside and Turnstone are dealing with the distance by coordinating neighborhood walking groups. We fully support this type of thinking.

No. This is a neighborhood school in which all subjects will be taught and not one subject focused on more than any other. We hold high expectations for our students in the areas of math, science and literacy. We plan to pursue the arts in creative ways to enhance the academic achievement of all of our students.

Yes. LWSD offers elementary orchestra and band before school. Students attend orchestra at Dickinson Elementary (grades 4 & 5) and band at Rosa Parks Elementary (grades 4 & 5). Parents are responsible for getting students to Dickinson orchestra and Rosa Parks band in the morning. School buses then transport the students from Dickinson to Rosa Parks.
