About Us
Rosa Parks Elementary School is a community full of laughter, respect, collaboration and a wonderfully diverse environment. While English is the predominate language spoken in the home, there is a wide range of other languages spoken in our school community, including Hindi,Tamil, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish. The school honors our cultural diversity through many PTSA events including notably our International Night, which honors foods and cultural traditions from around the world.
Rosa Parks Elementary opened it's doors in 2006 in the beautiful community of Redmond Ridge and is named after Rosa Parks who stood for equality for all people. Rosa Parks, spoke about the importance of teaching our children to make the world a better place. We honor that here believing we are one school, one team: students, parents, and staff dedicated to this purpose. The staff at Rosa Parks has a deep commitment to academics and the whole child as stated in our school mission statement: "Our mission is to grow the whole child as a joyful life-long learner within a respectful environment." We strive to create a community were the whole child is supported.
